Data Sources

This page summarizes source types used in published pages and explains why each type is used. It does not treat all sources as equally reliable; evidence strength is graded separately.

Primary source examples

  • Official standards documentation.
  • Maintainer release notes and issue trackers.
  • First-party system logs and audit outputs.

Secondary source examples

  • Survey papers and synthesis articles.
  • Public benchmark summaries.
  • Community-maintained reference pages.

Selection constraints

  • Publicly accessible when possible.
  • Stable URL or archive fallback preferred.
  • Source date and retrieval date recorded.

For citation format and correction flow, see Citation Policy and Correction Policy.
