Reproducibility Notes

Reproducibility Notes

These notes document how to repeat key checks used in this site. Reproducibility here means that another reviewer can run the same steps and reach comparable outputs under similar conditions.

Baseline checklist

  • Record the date, environment, and data snapshot.
  • List tools and versions used for extraction and transformation.
  • Store intermediate outputs when practical.
  • Capture known sources of nondeterminism.

Common failure modes

  • Hidden data updates from external sources.
  • Timezone differences in event-based metrics.
  • Ambiguous parsing rules for semi-structured text.

Documentation pattern

When a reproducibility risk is identified, it is logged in Limitations and Biases and tied to a mitigation or follow-up question in Open Questions.
